I have been pouring through my photos from my August vacation to Arizona.  They are great photos (to me) of family, friends, places I enjoyed visiting, and our RV.  I take far too many photos and then usually just leave them.  When I share them with friends, they then have to sit through multiple shots [...]

During our August trip, I spent a morning at Tohono Chul Park in Tucson, AZ.  The park is in a most idyllic setting at the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains.  I did not have a chance to visit all of the park but that will guarantee a return visit!  I did visit the Children’s [...]

Picacho Peak is one of the mountain views from our property in Marana, AZ.  In our view, it looks like a hog’s head to me.

This trip we were able to visit Picacho Peak State Park.  I was shocked to see the hog’s head I see from Marana is actually two peaks, one behind the other.

Two nights ago, we went to look at the moon and stars.  The moon was just past full, so providing lots of light, in fact too much light for optimal stargazing.  But, the sky was darker and the stars brighter than what we are used to seeing in NJ.  To get a dark sky, we [...]

Today’s adventure was a trip to Tombstone.  We visited Boot Hill Graveyard where the Clantons of OK Corral fame are buried.  The 1880 – 1900 time period in Tombstone was very violent, if you believe the tombstones.  Stabbings, murder, death by wagon wheel running over a skull, poisoning, suicide, mob lynching, legal hanging were some [...]
